Mr. Whittaker is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (FIA) and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA). He is a graduate of the University of the West Indies and also has an Executive Management Diploma from the University of Western Toronto. 

Mr. Whittaker has over forty-five (45) years of professional experience and has held posts such as the Senior Vice President and Corporate Actuary for Life of Jamaica Insurance Company Ltd.  In recent years, Mr Whittaker was a partner at Eckler Partners Ltd as well as Coke & Associates. 

He is astutely adept at Strategic Planning, Financial Reporting, and advising on Pension Funds and Social Insurance. He jointly drafted the Green Paper for the Pension Reform in Jamaica.

Due to his vast knowledge and reliable experience as an Actuary, Mr Whittaker has acted as Appointed Actuary or Consulting Actuary over the years for:

• Guardian Life Insurance Company
• JN Life Insurance Company
• Jamaica Mutual Life Assurance

As a valuable member of the Executive Leadership at FIRM, Mr Whittaker brings to the table his expertise in strategic planning, financial reporting, product design, product pricing and appraisal and embedded values for Life Insurance companies.
